Here we will add the simulator flight lessons to the Hamilton Pilot Training System (HPTS) Training Syllabus.
These flight lessons are for
- Flight training in a real airplane and using the flight simulator as an aid to this flight training, and
- Virtual aviator who is using the flight simulator but wants to learn all the knowledge and skills for a pilots certificate/license.
Stage 1 First Flights – Learn to Fly
Flight Lesson 1
Get program, airplane, and hardware running
Flight Lesson 2
Aircraft Familiarization and Basic Flight Operations – Aircraft pre-flight, start, taxi, controls, four basics of flying.
Flight Lesson 3
Basic Flight Maneuvers and Aircraft Systems – Turns, precision, airspeeds, throttle.
Flight Lesson 4
Flight Environment – Inside and Outside the cockpit – Airport Introduction – Normal takeoffs/departures, Flight Operations.
Flight Lesson 5
Pilot Capabilities and Aircraft Limitations – Advanced maneuvers introduction, low approach and stalls.
Stage 1 check – Learn to fly
Flight Portion – Be able to get to all the flight tollarances for lessons completed so far on the first time through.
Take the Stage 1 knowledge test. You can find it as HPTS Stage 1 Exams.
Stage 2 Flight maneuvers and Aeronautical Knowledge to Solo

Crosswinds/Ground track, Performance
Flight Lesson 7
Ground Reference Maneuvers, Landings

Stage 2 check to Solo
