Choosing a flight simulator program is your first step in virtual aviation. This decision should be based on four primary factors:
- airplane you want to train in
- your computer skills
- flexibility in design of aircraft
- Terrain and landmark realism
We will look at and evaluate the two affordable industry standard flight simulator programs:
- Microsoft “Flight Simulator X (FSX)” newest version
- Laminar Research “X-Plane” newest version is 9.x
We will also look at the Google Earth Flight simulator with it’s detailed terrain and landmark realism
We will start by looking at two light-sport airplanes I fly:
- Flight Designs CT
- Zodiac 601/650
